I had the pleasure today of seeing some unexpected beautiful
and unique LA homes. My colleague
and fellow Red Group member, Samantha Allen and I randomly picked a few listings to visit, mostly based on
price and/or location. We had no
idea when we set out how exciting the day would become.
First stop was this very special 1920's Mediterranean
courtyard style 3 bedroom/2bath Condo in a 4 unit bldg in Hancock Park Adjacent Windsor Village - Very unexpected
to find a large, beautiful condo like this for $679,000!
 |
| the spacious kitchen would be great as is, but also offered lots of modern possibility |
 |
| Huge rooms throughout - yes it was a condo! |
 |
| and in addition to a private outdoor courtyard, it also included a shared swimming pool |
Next a few blocks South, we found this perfectly remodeled,
beautifully designed 3 bedroom/2bath room 1558 SF house listed for $699,000.
Now we were on a roll!
 |
| Open floor plan gave this home a very spacious feel |
 |
| Kitchen made for easy entertaining |
 |
| beautiful bath! |
 |
| loved the new maple hardwood floors |
3rd on the list was this 3 bedroom/3 bathroom classic
Spanish home on a prime block in Hancock Park listed for $1,379,000. The kitchen needed some quick work, but
the rest of the house was intact with some very special touches.
 |
| extra bonus office or guest room next to the pool |
We made our way out to West LA to see this spectacular 2
story modern residence located in Westside Village, an area I had never spent time in before. This home had been
designed by it's architect owners and featured in Metropolitan Home as Home of
the Year/Honorable Mention in 2001.
Listed at $1,450,000 this is one I could also easily move right into.
 |
| these bookshelves looked like they were designed for the house |
 |
| Great mix of modern and rustic in the kitchen |
 |
| Sunny and bright bedrooms offered great views |
Our last stop took us to the Palms/Mar Vista area where we
scoped out another exceptional 3 bedroom/2 bathroom find priced at $659,000. This house had so many great decor
details, but unfortunately most of them didn't make their way into the pics. I might have to go back to the Open House there next Sunday just to sneak
some of my own for future decorating reference.
 |
| a small sample of the great light fixtures that were used in every room in the house |
Wow, that's a lot of pics. A great example of how a day in the world of real estate can be so unexpectedly fun!
