Year End Abundance

This week I hopped in the car with two of my colleagues from RED,  John Barrentine and Chuck Marquant, to see what was new on the market.  Since the year is winding down, my expectations were low and I didn't expect to see many properties of interest, but we were all pleasantly surprised to see a number of surprisingly nice houses.  Here are the highlights:

This remodeled California Bungalow in Spaulding Square ($1,169,000) with 3 bedrooms, 2 baths :

Next we found this reimagined Spanish Revival in the Melrose strip - 4 bedrooms, 3 baths.  Listed at $1,397,000 - we were told by the listing agent that it already had 5 offers well over asking.

 Another find this week was this Spanish Oasis located at the end of a cul-de-sac in Musuem Square area of Miracle Mile.  With 3 bedrooms and 2 baths, it's listed for $1,175,000 and is a great example of a home that although extensively remodeled,  still offers a multitude of it's original architectural details.

Modern Touches


This week I had a lot on my agenda to pack into three hours so I decided to go it alone. First stop was in Los Feliz to visit one of our upcoming RED listings during the photo shoot.  The house was fantastic and an exciting way to start caravan. 2bedrooms/1 bath $849,000.

There was too much to see today back in the Miracle Mile area, so I didn't dwell on the East side.  Luckily, I was able to zip back quickly to see everything on my list.  First favorite was this partially updated Spanish duplex in the Beverly Grove Area.  Both units (up and down) were 2 bedrooms/1 bath  - priced at $1,299,000.

Last stop of the day, was another one I'd been eyeing - a renovated bungalow in Pic Fair Village -actually turns out it's a duplex.  There's a single family 2 bedroom/2 bath home in the front and a legal 2nd 1 bedroom/ 1 bath unit above the garage (all for $849,000).  Lucky for me, they were serving lunch here from the neighborhood cafe, Paper+Plastik Cafe.  I couldn't have found a better way to finish my day.
